Create one quiz first, test it in a room, then reuse that pattern for the rest of your classes or sessions.

01. Quizzes

How to create a quiz

Quizzes are the foundation of Evalis. Every live room starts from a quiz you have already created.

Open My Quizzes

Go to My Quizzes from the sidebar or dashboard. This page shows all quizzes in your workspace and lets you start a new one.

Create the quiz shell

Use Create Quiz to add a title and description. This gives you the main assessment container before you start writing questions.

Add questions and answers

Inside the quiz builder, add your questions and answer options. This is where you define the content participants will see during the live room.

Review and reuse

Once the quiz is ready, you can view it, edit it later, delete it, or launch a room directly from it.

What My Quizzes shows
Your total quizzes, total questions, and how often your quizzes have been launched in rooms.
What you can do there
Create a quiz, open it, edit it, delete it, or start a room from it.
Why this matters
A clear quiz library makes it easy to repeat sessions and launch live activities faster.
02. Rooms

How to create a room

A room is the live version of a quiz. It lets participants join and answer questions together in real time.

Start from a quiz

On My Quizzes, choose the quiz you want to run and click Start Room.

Get a room code automatically

Evalis creates a room with a unique room code, links it to your quiz, and sets the room status to waiting.

Share access with participants

On the host page you can share the room code, show the join URL, or let participants scan the QR code.

What My Rooms shows
Your room list, statuses, player counts, creation times, and quick management actions.
What you can do there
Open a room, close it, delete a single room, or clear all rooms you created.
Useful note
Participants can join a room without creating an account. They only need the room code and their name.
03. Live Session

How rooms work during a live quiz

The host controls the room from the host console while participants stay on the player page and receive updates automatically.

The room has been created, but the quiz has not started yet. Participants can join and wait on the player page until you press Start Quiz.
Q
Question
The current question is live. Participants can submit one answer for that question, and the host can see the room status, player count, and prompt.
R
Results
When the host clicks Show Results, answering is paused and the host can view answer statistics for the current question.
N
Next Question
The host advances to the next question. Participants receive the new question automatically on their player page.
F
Finished
After the final question, the room moves to finished. The host can open the final leaderboard and then close the quiz room.
What the host can see and do
Share the QR code and join link, start the quiz, show results, move to the next question, watch players join in real time, and review answer statistics when results are displayed.
What participants experience
Participants join with their name, wait for the quiz to begin, answer on the player page, and see the page update automatically as the host moves through the session.
04. Profile

What you can do on the profile page

The profile page is your account settings area. It combines account details with a quick overview of your teaching workspace.

See your activity totals
The page shows how many quizzes, questions, and tracked attempts are connected to your account.
Update your profile details
You can change your name and email address so your account information stays current.
Change your password
Use the password form to replace your current password with a new one and keep your account secure.
Delete account
If needed, the profile page also includes a delete account section. This is a permanent action and requires your password for confirmation.
